Have you seen all the sights in Tirana and still have some time left? Then take a day trip to Krujë. This is a historic castle town about a 40-minute bus ride away. Krujë has a lot of nice cafes and restaurants. It’s also known for its market with plenty of folklore and local products. On a small mountain, you’ll find the ruins of Krujë Castle. Inside the castle, you’ll find the contemporary Skanderbeg Museum. I found Krujë definitely worth a visit, and it’s also a bit cheaper than the capital. It’s also a great place for lunch.
